Activities on site

The Domaine Tomali-Maniatyn offers a plethora of activities on its grounds, from dawn to dusk, summer or winter, you decide: relax in our indoor and outdoor swimming pool, hike or bike in the fields and the forest, engage in winter activities, explore the Milky Way, or simply enjoy the exceptional sightseeing from the Domaine's grounds. You can do all that, and much more nearby while staying with us.

The Swimming Pool

One cannot think of the Domaine Tomali-Maniatyn without its beautiful indoor pool overlooking the mountain and the valley. When summer is back, the indoor pool flows out, when we open up the communicating door to the outside pool, in front of Sutton Mountain.
The water temperature is maintained to a tropical warmth: we're even growing ananas on its banks! It is slightly salted for more confort and a more natural sensation than traditional chlorination.
During summer, you can also enjoy a sun bath on the large outside banks or dive into a good book, in one of the benches facing the mountains, further out in the garden.

Hiking and Biking

You will find many hiking opportunities at the Domaine. You can simply explore its wild fields and its vegetable garden, in the company of many birds and butterflies, as well as deers at sunset.

You can also decide to explore on one of the many trails that cross the Domaine in our beautiful "backyard". After a few meters on these trails, you will have the opportunity to see the forest from a different angle: Arbre Sutton (Tree Link - Arbre Sutton) is located at one end of the Domaine. Further down the trail, a dip in Sutton River's refreshing water will offer you another healthy thrill. These same trails will also lead you to Lake Mohawk in about an hour, at a moderate pace.
Biking amateurs will appreciate staying at the Domaine. When winter leaves place to green, many cyclists ride on Maple Road, which is renowned for its challanging incline. The Domaine is also located nearby Quebec's Route Verte, which offers a biking corridor of 3,600 km throughout the Province. For those of you who prefer off-roads, the fields of the Domaine offer an ideal ground for healthy rides.

Winter Activities

When everything around us turn to white, the same hiking trails that cross the Domaine become the cross-country skiing trails of Sutton-en-Haut (Arbre Sutton). Your journey on skis will take you around the fields and the forest, it's a perfect activity for a sunny winter day. If cross-country skiing is not among your favorites, you can also hike in the fields using snow shoes or, try sledding our slopes: we have plenty of space that make for challenging runs!

The View

What can we say about the view? It's breathtaking! A picture is worth a thousand words, hence we invite you to check our photo gallery. With more than 180 degrees of unobstructed view, you can see as far as Mont Saint-Hilaire to the North, Bromont, Mont Yamaska, Mont Echo, further East, the Sutton Mountains to the South, and Mont Pinacle to the West.
The view can change from one day to the next Enjoy it on one of the garden's benches in the morning, when the Domaine and the hilltops seem to float above a sea of clouds or at dusk, when the last rays of the sun inflame the scenery at your feet.

The Moon And The Milky Way

When the night falls on the Domaine Tomali-Maniaytin, the point of view on the Milky Way is unique. Far away from the city, you have a better view of the stars and constellations. If you wish, our small telescope will take you further up, among the stars and the planets or on the Moon itself: it's fascinating!
